John Boadu Charges Ashanti Regional NPP MP’s To Win All Seats In Region, Come Dec 2020

The General Secretary of the New patriotic party, NPP John Boadu has inaugurated the Ashanti regional NPP campaign team with a charge on them to unseat three National Democratic Congress members of parliament.

The 27 member committee,which will be chaired by the party’s Regional Chairman Mr Bernard Antwi Boasiako has representatives from both the Ashanti Regional MPs caucus and MMDCEs will see to the management and successful prosecuting of the campaign agenda.

The NPP in the December 2016 elections took 44 of the 47 seats available in the Ashanti region and has targeted annexing the remaining three come Dec 2020. The inauguration which took place at the Georgia Hotel in kumasi was attended by the NPP general secretary, Mr John Noadu,the regional Chairman,Mr Bernard Antwi Bosiako, Mr Samuel Pyne,the member of parliament for Asokwa constituency Hon.Patricia Appiagyei, the chief Executive of the Youth Employment Authority and other dignitaries.

In his inaugural address, John Boadu called on the campaign unit to target 90 percent of the popular votes in the region for New Patriotic Party to retain President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP to do more for the country.

The Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, on behalf of the regional campaign team expressed their appreciation and said the team were ready for the task at hand.

Speaking to Net2 Television news the Chief executive officer of Youth Employment Authority, lawyer Justice Kodua said although the party in the region did very during the voter registration process but it will be an exercise in futility if they fail to prosecute a good campaign that will see the NPP win the 2020 general elections one touch.

He said the campaign employ all strategies to enable them protect the New Edubiase Constituency seat that was taken from the National Democratic Congress on 2016 and also unseat the National Democratic Congress members of parliament for Asawase,Drobonso And Ejura constituencies
