The 1987 year group of students of the Kwahu Tafo Presbyterian Junior High School have donated a number of items to the school at a brief ceremony at the school’s premises.
The items included roofing sheets, white marker boards for teaching in classrooms, assorted markers, a printer and accessories among other items. The donation according to the old students, were to contribute their widows’ mite to the development of the junior high school.
The donation was done by an alumnus of the school, Lt. Col. Eric Nyarko of the Ghana Army.
Speaking at the presentation, the Kwahu Akwantufuohene Nana Okugyeadom Barima Ntim Barima, expressed the gratitude of the town to the group for their efforts in refurbishing some parts of the school.
The headmaster of the school, Fred Gyimah Asumadu, was full of praise and gratitude to the donors for the items, and assured them that the items would be put to good use.
The Chairperson of the Parents Teacher Association of Kwahu Tafo Presbyterian JHS, Madam Elizabeth Gyimah also expressed the appreciation of parents, guardians and pupils for the gesture.
A pupil of the school, on behalf of the student body, expressed their appreciation to the donors for coming to their aid.
