Ghana has recorded 391 new covid-19 cases in the country. This is the latest update released on the official website of the Ghana Health Service.
The total number of confirmed cases increased from its initial 58,431 to 58,882 as at Thursday 21st January, 2021.
So far, a total of 56,286 patients have recovered or been discharged while 82 cases are in severe conditions with 29 cases considered critical with the total number of deaths being 358
The active cases, the update said, were being managed in treatment sites, isolation centers across the country, while some were under home management.
Out of the total confirmed cases, 23,117 were from the General Surveillance; 34,690 cases from the Enhanced Contact Tracing, while 1,015 have been recorded from international travelers disembarking at the Kotoka International Airport since it was reopened on September 1, 2020, the update stated.
The regional breakdown on Ghana’s COVID-19 cases are Greater Accra Region – 33,241, Ashanti Region – 11,484, Western Region – 3,256, Eastern Region- 2,683, Central Region – 2,200, Vola Region -808, Bono East Region -795, Western North Region -689, Bono Region -644, Northern Region -607, Ahafo Region -537, Upper East Region -399, Oti Region -244, Upper West Region -136, Savannah Region -62 And North East Region – 22.
