The National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP has announced its campaign team as it gears up for the upcoming general elections in December this year.
At it’s emergency meeting held at the Alisa Hotel on February 19, 2024, the flag bearer of the party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia presented his proposed campaign team which was subsequently approved by the National Council of the Party.
Dr. Bawumia will serve as the overall Chairman of the Campaign Coordinating Committee.
The Former Minister for Decentralization and Rural Development and one-time General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dan Kwaku Botwe, has been appointed as the Campaign Strategist and Campaign team’s Chairman for the New Patriotic Party.
Mr. Frederick Opare Ansah has also been named as the Campaign Manager.
Also included at the helm of affairs are President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, former National Chairman Freddie Blay, and former Campaign Manager, Peter Mac Manu, all members of the National Council of Elders, Elizabeth Ohene, Rev. Joyce Aryee and Akosua Frema Osei Opare, the current Chief of Staff.
NPP’s General Secretary, Justin Koduah Frimpong disclosed this to Journalists in Accra on February 19, 2024, after a crucial National Executive Committee meeting.
Justin Kodua Frimpong further named Dr. Gideon Boako as the Spokesperson for the Presidential Candidate, with Dennis Miracles Aboagye appointed Director of Communications, and emphasized that all officers of the party are members of the campaign team.
On some outstanding parliamentary issues, the General Secretary of the NPP outlined some measures directed by the National Executive Committee of the party on the way forward.
