Rupert Murdoch, the right-wing media billionaire, married for the fifth time on Saturday, according to the British tabloid daily, The Sun.
The Sun, owned by Murdoch, published images of the 93-year-old Australian millionaire and his 67-year-old wife, retired molecular biologist Elena Zhukova, at his vineyard in Bel-Air, California, where the ceremony took place.
Zhukova is the mother of Dasha Zhukova, a Russian American art collector and former wife of Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.
Murdoch spent decades at the leadership of Fox Corporation and News Corp, two media conglomerates that own the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and Fox News.
Murdoch, who has a net worth of $9.77 billion according to Bloomberg’s Billionaire Index, announced in November 2023 that he would stand down as chairman of both enterprises, leaving the reins to his son Lachlan. Murdoch stated at the time that he would continue to play a “active role” in News Corp and currently serves as chairman emeritus of the two firms.
He started dating Zhukova last summer, according to the New York Times. The pair confirmed their engagement in March.
Murdoch most recently married Jerry Hall, a former supermodel. The pair got divorced in 2022.
Murdoch proposed to Ann Lesley Smith in March 2023, but the engagement ended two weeks later.
