VEEP IN UPPER EAST REGION: UPPER EAST CHIEFS HAIL NPP’S POLICIES AS DR. BAWUMIA CONTINUES CONSTITUENCY-FOCUSED TOUR

The Paramount Chief of the Builsa Traditional Sandem-Nab Azagsuk Azantilow II Area has described NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s historic election victory in the primaries as an affirmation of his character and traits as a human being and a leader.
According to Sandem-Nab Azagsuk Azantilow II, Dr. Bawumia’s victory, despite the many challenges, including competing against nine others, is indicative of his manifest destiny, and he looks forward to engaging him at the level of President of the Republic after December 2024.
Nab Azantilow made these remarks on July 26, 2024, when he received Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his campaign team at his palace in Sandema, Builsa North Constituency in the Upper East Region.
Dr. Bawumia, who had earlier visited the Yagaba Kubori and Builsa South Constituencies as part of his working visit to the Upper East region and his constituency-focused nationwide campaign, was in Sandema to formally introduce himself as presidential candidate and also introduce the party’s candidate for Builsa North, Thomas Alonsi, to the Builsa Overlord.

Nab Azagsuk Azantilow II used the occasion to single out the government’s flagship programme, the Free Senior High School, as the “most far-reaching social intervention of our time.”

The NPP flag bearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, thanked the Overlord for his guardianship and explained his vision to the chief.

The vice president, as part of his Upper East regional campaign, also visited Bawku and Talensi, where he called on the traditional leaders, Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II and Tongo-Rana Naab Kugbil Namaltang, respectively.

Dr. Bawumia also engaged stakeholders and interacted with the electorate with his street and market engagements as well as constituency connect rallies.
Here are excerpts from the NPP flag bearer’s constituency-focused campaigns in the Upper East region.
