VEEP IN UPPER EAST REGION DAY 2: NPP HAS DONE MORE FOR MIRIGU THAN JOHN MAHAMA’S NDC – DR. BAWUMIA REITERATES

The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, has reiterated and touted the NPP’s superior performance record of development for the people of the Upper East region than that of the National Democratic Congress under its leader, John Mahama.
Vice President Dr. Bawumia recalled that while John Mahama and the NDC were in power, they did little for the people in the area, and most of the developments in the area were executed under the tenure of the NPP.
The NPP flag bearer made these remarks during a campaign interaction at Mirigu in the Chiana Paga constituency of the Upper East region on Monday.
Vice President Dr. Bawumia is currently in the UE Region on his final leg of the northern Ghana constituency-focused campaign tour to detail his vision and ideas for the nation ahead of the December 2024 elections.
Dr. Bawumia assured the constituents that even though the NPP has a better record than the NDC in the development of the area, there was more to be done and used the opportunity to announce the government’s soon-to-be launched District Road Improvement Programme.

Earlier, during a courtesy call on him by the NPP flag bearer, the Paramount Chief of the Chiana Traditional Area, Pe Detundini Adiali Ayagitam III, lauded the visionary ideas of the vice president and pledged the community’s support for him.
The Chief also urged supporters and sympathisers of Dr. Bawumia and the NPP to campaign effectively to help the NPP win and manifest the great ideas presented by Dr. Bawumia.

The flag bearer of the NPP continued his constituency-focused campaign in Nabdam, Talensi, and Bolga East, all in the Upper East region.
