President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has espoused the competence and loyalty of the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, reiterating his qualities as the best person to lead Ghana into the next industrial age.
President Akufo-Addo who made these endorsements at a stakeholders’ meeting at Mamprugu in the North East region, has just ended his two-day tour of the Savanna, North East and the Northern region.
The president highlighted the patriotic competence of the NPP flagbearer in matters affecting the country and finding credible solutions for them such as health care and the genesis of Agenda 111.
Touching on the menace of illegal mining, President Akufo-Addo explained his rhetoric of putting his presidency on the line, in the wake of the upsurge of the illegal mining activities and wondered what former president Mahama’s stand on the vexed issue was.
President Akufo-Addo reiterated the goal of his administration to improve the local economy despite the challenges and shocks, much to the disappointment of the opposition NDC, who have gone mute on the economy’s recovery and bouncebackability.
President Akufo-Addo expressed his pride in the honesty and loyalty of the Vice President, who after working with him for 16 years, has always been loyal to the cause of his presidency.
President Akufo-Addo had earlier called on the Nayiri, Naa Bohagu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga, the Paramount Chief of Mamprugu at Nalerigu, where they exchanged pleasantries.
The Nayiri presented a citation to the president during the courtesy call.
