Barack Obama left the crowd stunned at Kamala Harris’ Detroit rally after rapping one of Eminem’s most iconic songs.

On Tuesday night, Eminem made a brief appearance at Harris’ rally in his hometown. During his brief speech, he emphasized the importance of voting and freedom of speech.

“I’m here tonight for a couple of important reasons,” said the 52-year-old rapper. “As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me. And going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it’s important to use your voice. So I’m encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please.”

“I also think people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution, of what people will do if you make your opinion known,” he continued. “I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld.”

Eminem then introduced Obama, 63, to the stage. Once the former president stepped up to the podium, he admitted to feeling “some kind of way” about having to speak after Slim Shady.

“I have done a lot of rallies, so I don’t usually get nervous. But I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem,” Obama told the crowd.

“I notice my palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy,” he continued, reciting Eminem’s 2002 hit ”Lose Yourself” “Vomit on my sweater already, mom’s spaghetti. I’m nervous but on the surface I look calm and ready to drop bombs, but I keep on forgetting.”

“I thought Eminem was going to be performing,” he added as the crowd was still going wild. “I was going to jump out. Love me some Eminem.”

As reported by Bridge Michigan’s Malachi Barrett, both Vice President Harris, 60, and Former President Donald Trump, 78, are focused on Detroit, a critical battleground, in their campaign for the presidency.
