The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has received overwhelming support from the chief of Toase and the local council of churches, as well as voters at the Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency.
This wave of support intensified as Dr. Bawumia visited the Atwima Mponua, Nwabiagya South, and Nwabiagya North constituencies to campaign as part of his 15-day tour of the Ashanti Region.
During his visit, he engaged with key stakeholders, including members of the clergy, imams, and other community leaders. His trip to Ntobroso was seen as historic, marking the first time a presidential candidate has visited the town. Dr. Bawumia then traveled to Nyinahin, where he addressed a massive crowd at a well-attended rally, further energized his supporters.
At Atwima Nwabiagya South, the Chief of Toase, Nana Ayim Awere Ababio, urged Ghanaians to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia to continue the development the NPP has started in the country.
He tasked Ghanaians to vote on evidence-based and infrastructure projects that have taken place under the NPP government.
Nana Ayim Awere Ababio commended the NPP flag bearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, for giving hope to Ghanaian youths with his slogan, IT IS POSSIBLE.
He added that the people of Toase are behind him since they have seen the various infrastructural developments like schools, hospitals, and road construction, as well as the way free SHS, NHIS, and COVID-19 were managed.
The local council of churches who were present at the meeting also commended the NPP government for the introduction of free SHS, which they described as a RELIEF for churches and their leaders. They shared their excitement with Dr. Bawumia and his entourage.
At the Offinso North constituency, the flag bearer promised to construct a tomato processing factory at Akomadan under his presidency.
The plan forms part of his government’s industrialisation agenda to create jobs for the teeming youth in the country.
Dr. Bawumia made the pledge during a stakeholders’ durbar at Akomadan in the Offinso North constituency of the Ashanti Region.
On agriculture modernisation, the NPP Flagbearer said his administration would set up District Agriculture Mechanisation Centres in agricultural districts to provide equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and ploughing machines to farmers to expand their farms.
Dr. Bawumia was joined by party big figures like Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, Kwabena Nsafoa, and both former and current MPs, Dr. Bawumia kicked off his Ashanti tour in Ntobroso, Atwima Mponua Constituency.MPs.
