The Vice President and flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says he will make Ghana a medical health tourist center if he wins power.
According to the Vice President, the initiative will make Ghana an enviable nation among its peers.
He made this statement when he was addressing chiefs, clergy, and Muslim clerics at Sekyere Kumawu in the Ashanti region Sunday, November 17, 2024
Dr. Bawumia explained that, with Agenda 111 on track, Ghana will become a medical tourist destination in the subregion. He intends to equip the hospitals with first-class machinery, and people from the sub-region will come to the country for their medical health.
In a related development, his wife, Samira Bawumia, has said her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is the best person to lead Ghana to development.
The Second Lady explained that Dr. Bawumia has consistently emphasized that every Ghanaian, regardless of political or religious background, deserves a government that works tirelessly for their well-being.
According to her, with a firm belief in fostering national unity, Dr. Bawumia has built a reputation on the back of his proven ability to fight corruption, create sustainable job opportunities, and implement impactful policies that promote growth, particularly for the youth.
She noted that his focus on digital transformation and economic development reflects his commitment to ensuring that Ghana remains competitive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where technology and innovation are the cornerstones of global progress.
Speaking on Dr. Bawumia’s vision for Ghana, Samira Bawumia rallied support, particularly from women, recognizing their pivotal role in the upcoming elections.
