The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, joined thousands of Christian worshippers at the Hebron Prayer Camp at Medie in the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency on Tuesday, where he sought prayers and support while reaffirming his cross-religious appeal to Ghanaians in the run-up to next month’s elections.
Addressing thousands of worshippers who have been engaged in days of prayer and fasting for the nation, Dr. Bawumia expressed gratitude and sought their continued prayers as Ghana approaches the December 7 general elections.
Reflecting on the forthcoming election, he emphasised his belief in divine will and inspiration from scripture.
Dr. Bawumia was warmly received by the congregation and leadership of the Hebron Prayer Camp. The church leaders expressed their gratitude for what they described as a “special” visit, while the Vice President thanked them for their prayers and hospitality.
It was part of the day when the NPP presidential candidate also ramped up his campaign with visits to various locations in the Greater Accra Region.
At the popular Mallam Atta Market in Accra, traders declared their unflinching support for the Vice President to continue with the progress of the country and their welfare.
Dr Bawumia, who stormed the Mallam Atta Market, was given a rousing reception by the traders, who showed their open support. The traders, both men and women, temporarily abandoned their businesses to cheerfully welcome Dr. Bawumia with slogans endorsing his presidential bid.
Dr. Bawumia was in the market as part of his campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday.
From here, the NPP flagbearer joined the thousands of NPP supporters at Abossey Okai in the Ablekuma Central constituency.
He used the occasion to reiterate his bold solutions to improve the business environment and urged them to vote massively for the NPP to implement impactful policies for Ghana.
