Daniel Kenneth, the outgoing District Chief Executive (DCE) for Okere District Assembly, has urged the district’s assembly members to work tirelessly to drive progress and development in the area and to uphold the vision of Okere District.
Speaking at the final session of the 3rd ordinary meeting of the Okere District Assembly, held at Adukrom, Daniel Kenneth underscored the district’s vision and rallied assembly members and other stakeholders to ensure a brighter future for all communities in Okere.
Addressing the assembly, Daniel Kenneth highlighted Okere’s remarkable growth, declaring it the fastest-growing district in the Eastern Region, adding that the district demonstrated impressive revenue growth by raking in GHC1 million from GHC240,000.
The DCE for the Okere District Assembly further highlighted the assembly’s achievements and the areas that require attention.
He paid special tribute to the outgoing MP for the area, Hon. Daniel Kwaku Botwe, for the numerous development projects in the district.
Daniel Kenneth also expressed his gratitude to President Akufo-Addo, stressing that the district has witnessed notable improvements in education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, among other initiatives that impact residents.
Daniel Kenneth, who is also the MP-elect for Okere Constituency, reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the area into a thriving tourism hub, leveraging iconic attractions like the Okomfo Anokye Reception Centre, Asenema Waterfalls, and the cultural heritage of the local people.
Daniel Kenneth appealed to the assembly to extend their support to his successor to ensure a seamless transition and continued progress.
