Access Bank Launches “Fa Ketewa Begye Kese” Initiative To Encourage Youth Savings

The Group Head of Business Banking at Access Bank, Mr. Jones Dammo has emphasized the importance of saving, calling it a valuable habit that can lead to substantial financial gains over time.

Speaking at the launch of the “Fa Ketewa Begye Kese” initiative in Accra, Mr. Dammo explained that saving small amounts regularly can accumulate into significant sums, benefiting individuals in the long run.

Mr. Dammo highlighted that the initiative, which targets the youth, aims to encourage a culture of savings among young people in Ghana.

To participate, he said individuals are required to save a minimum of GH₵250.

The initiative he said will run for six months, with the winner to be rewarded at the end of the period. Mr. Dammo urged all Ghanaians, particularly the youth, to join and take advantage of this opportunity to develop healthy financial habits.

The Manager of Marketing and Caritas at the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Madam Judith Kormle outlined her organization’s role in ensuring the integrity and transparency of the initiative. She emphasized that fairness and authenticity would be central to the success of the program, ensuring that all participants have an equal opportunity to benefit.
