GFA Distributes Nissan Navara Pickups To Regional Football Associations Under FIFA Forward Programs

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially handed over Nissan Navara pickup vehicles to eight Regional Football Associations (RFAs) as part of the ongoing FIFA Forward program, aimed at enhancing football development across the country.

The beneficiary regions include: Brong Ahafo Regional FA, Upper West Regional FA, Central Regional FA, Western Regional FA, Eastern Regional FA, Upper East Regional FA, Volta Regional FA and Ashanti Regional FA.

These vehicles, provided under FIFA’s flagship development initiative, are intended to support the administrative and operational functions of the RFAs, enabling them to carry out their duties more efficiently.

This initiative forms part of the GFA’s broader strategy to decentralize football development and equip regional bodies with the necessary tools to operate effectively. The Greater Accra and Northern Regional Football Associations are also expected to receive their vehicles in the next phase of the program.

GFA President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku—who continues to lead efforts to improve infrastructure and logistics at all levels of Ghana football—expressed confidence that the new vehicles will significantly boost operational capacity and accessibility in the regions.

The handover ceremony also emphasized the GFA’s commitment to leveraging international support programs such as FIFA Forward to promote grassroots football and ensure nationwide inclusivity in the sport’s development.

The event was attended by members of the GFA Executive Council and the Acting Director-General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Mr. Abraham Amaliba.
