NPP Bono Chairman Urges Electorates Not To Trust Former President Mahama On Corruption

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Abronye DC has accused the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama of double standards in the fight to save the public purse.

He said the former president who initially pledged in Parliament in 2014 in his state of the nation address, to officially cease the norm of govt and public officials buying official cars for their personal use.

The NPP Bono regional chairman who made these revelations on NET2 TVs Dialogue show on Wednesday, cautioned Ghanaians against voting for former president Mahama, because he cannot be trusted again with the public purse.

Kwame Baffoe who has said he will keep the spotlight on alleged corruption under the previous govt headed by John Mahama, was clear in his mind that the former president should not be allowed to control the national purse.

Reading from transcript from the former president’s state of the nation’s address in 2014, Kwame Baffoe fingered John Mahama in what he called the Defeat Syndrome.

He mentioned some transactions which occurred at the Presidency in 2014, which according to Kwame Baffoe was detrimental to the state, providing some documentary evidence to buttress his point.

In the run up to the 2020 elections in December, both the incumbent President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and former president John Mahama have said, records of both administrations should be the basis for assessment by the electorate to decide who to vote for.
