President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has inspected ongoing construction works of some major roads projects in Ho the capital of the Volta Region.

The projects include the Sokode-Ho trunk road which is being reconstructed into an asphalted dual carriage way after being abandoned prior to 2017.

Also under construction are the campus roads for the University of Health and Allied Sciences located near Ho in the Volta region which will connect the school to adjoining communities and the regional capital.

The president who was accompanied on the inspection tour by the Roads and Highways minister, Kwesi Amoako Atta, the Volta regional minister Archibald Letsa, the chieftancy affairs minister, Kofi Dzamesi and a Deputy Chief of Staff, Francis Asenso-Boakye, among other officials at the Presidency, was updated on the progress of construction by the Project manager and the contractors of the project who assured the president that the 24 month project will be completed on schedule.

First was a spokesperson for the Chinese contractor working on the new dual carriage way between Sokode to Ho.

The project manager for first Sky ltd, contractors for UHAS campus and portions of the Ho – Sokode dual carriage road also took the President through the design of the road project, which is expected to be completed in 24 months.
