The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abirem constituency of the Eastern Region, Mr Patrick Baffour Bannor, has eulogised the philanthropic, entrepreneurial and political track record of Hon Ken Ohene Agyapong, and has pledged the constituency’s support for the presidential hopeful in the upcoming January 31, 2026, NPP presidential primaries.
The constituency chairman made this declaration during his address to delegates in the area, when presidential aspirant Ken Agyapong made a campaign stop in the constituency on Wednesday.
Hon Ken Agyapong is in the Eastern Region as part of his nationwide Unity Tour to solicit votes from delegates, as the NPP heads to the polls to select its presidential candidate next year, for the next general elections scheduled for 2028.
The Abirem Constituency chairman, who enumerated some of Ken Agyapong’s philanthropy and bold political leadership, said the delegates from the constituency have witnessed numerous social interventions from the former Assin Central MP, and are convinced he is the best choice to lead the party in the near future.
Mr Patrick Baffour assured Ken Agyapong that the delegates in the area are united in their resolve that Ken Agyapong stands as the best material to face the NDC in 2028.
He said if the NPP repeats the mistake it made the last time around, the party may suffer in opposition for a prolonged and difficult period.
The constituency chairman also urged delegates to listen to the voice of the public, who are yearning for Ken Agyapong and make sure they give him the nod in the nation’s interest.
He added that this time there will be no room for intimidation, and they will meet aggressors boot for boot to protect the sanctity and values of the NPP.
