African Countries Must Identify Themselves With A Specific Technology It Seeks To Champion – Annor Dompreh

The Hon Member of Parliament for Nsawam Addoagyiri who doubles as Majority Chief Whip, Frank Annor Dompreh has urged African countries to identify themselves with a specific goal or exactly what they want to be identified with in terms of technology transfer or energy transition.

He said, Africans are blessed with numerous natural resources which makes them extremely important among other continents across the globe and must not always be relying on the Europeans, Americans, Russians and Chinese for most of the essential things needed as a continent.

He said the African continent is equally blessed with skill, potential, knowledge and many important resources which when we focus on a particular thing, it could achieve so as to be identified by the rest of the world since this would help add value to the natural resources blessed with it.

The lawmaker made these submissions at the German-African conference of Parliamentarians which was held in Europe this week with the theme ‘AFRICA AND EUROPE IN THE NEW AGE OF A NEW GEOPOLITICAL RIVALRY AND HOW TO IMPROVE THE BILATERAL COOPERATION, where the EU has planned to invest about One Hundred and Fifty Billion Euros (€150 Billion Euro) from both public and private funds in Africa with the aim of building a stronger partnership with the continent.
