The Parliamentary Candidate for Akuapem South Constituency, Eric Apeadu Yeboah, has reiterated the government’s commitment to “expanding access to healthcare through major interventions, including the continuous enhancement of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), provision of ambulances to all constituencies, the establishment of e-pharmacy and Zipline Medical Drone Delivery Service, and the construction of Agenda 111 health facilities in districts without hospitals in Ghana.
He made this known at a community health durbar for constituents at Ahwerase in the Akuapem South constituency of the Eastern Region.
The health durbar included free health screening and free registration of health insurance for constituents, to safeguard their health and well-being in the community.
In all, about 1,000 people from all walks of life participated and either received free health screening or enrolled on Ghana’s National Health Insurance Scheme.
Speaking to the media, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Akuapem South, Eric Yeboah Apeadu, emphasized the importance of embracing the national health insurance program and encouraged all to register, highlighting the NPP government’s efforts to make the program beneficial for all citizens.
He said the NPP government has demonstrated its commitment to healthcare, by expanding healthcare infrastructure and services, the government aims to ensure that every citizen has access to necessary medical attention.
He appealed to the residents to vote massively for him and Dr Mahamadu Bawumia to continue the good works and realise his bold solutions for the country.
In an interaction with attendees at the health durbar, the Member of Parliament for Akuapem South, Hon. OB Amoah, called on his constituents to vote overwhelmingly for Dr Bawumia in the general election and also vote massively for Eric Yeboah Apeadu to become the next MP. He said despite the economic challenges and global pressures, the accomplishments of the Akufo-Addo administration will be remembered.
He said no government can match the level of progress made in healthcare under Akufo-Addo’s presidency.
Beneficiaries of the free health care screening and registration of the National Health Insurance Scheme at the health durbar expressed their gratitude to the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for prioritizing their health needs.
