Anti-Gay Bill Committee Begins Its Public Hearing Today

The Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee that has been mandated by the Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin to handle the promotion of proper human sexual rights and Ghanaian family values bill,2021 has begun its first public hearing today.

The Committee according to its timetable for today has programmed to meet Nine (9) groups that have submitted memoranda to the committee.

The following are the groups the Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee is meeting,

National Coalition for proper human sexual rights

Group of Concern Ghanain Citizen

Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council

Human rights Coalition

Church of Pentecost

Amnesty International

Advocate for Christ

Ghana Aids Commission

United Nations Office of the Resident Coordinator

The Hon Chairman for the Committee, Mr Emmanuel Anyim-Adu Antwi has stated that, the Sittings are not for debating each other or any group but to hear the reasons for each memoranda received.
