Asante Kotoko Versatile Defender Imoro Ibrahim Gets Late Call Up To Join Black Stars For South Africa Clash

Asante Kotoko will have another player join the Black stars Camp, taking the total number of Warriors in the National team A camp to 4.


Coach Charles Akonnor had early included Goalkeeper Razak Abalora, and defender Ismail Ganiyu into his 29 man squad,  and further added Mubarik Yussif to the list after several foreign based footballers pulled out of the team due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

The New Porcupine to join the camp of the stars is Left back Imoro Ibrahim who was part of a local contingent dropped by the coach.

Imoro is expected to compete at the left back position with POAK Salonika defender Baba Rahman.
Ibrahim has had impressive performance for the Porcupine Warriors in the first round of the Ghana Premier league,  scoring 2 goals.

The former Bolga All Stars, and Karela United player is known for his sweet runs on the flanks and his super volley goals, his goal against Dreams FC in the league won him goal of the month of January by the club’s supporters.

His maiden call up comes at a time many local based players have envisaged the coach to include them in his line up for the double header AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
