ASUOGYAMAN FARM WORKERS: PIUS HADZIDE ENGAGES AGGRIEVED FARM WORKERS AT TOWN HALL MEETING

The workers at Tropo Farms, at Apegusu, in Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region, a company specializing in tilapiaa production, have appealed to the government to intervene in their grievances with the company as they are unhappy with the management’s treatment of them.
The workers claim they are face with issues like unfair compensation, poor working conditions, or inadequate benefits, and are seeking help from the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority and NPP parliamentary candidate in the area, Pius Enam Hadzide, to address these challenges and advocate for their rights.
At a town hall engagement with Pius Hadzide, over 160 workers expressed their concerns and grievances regarding unfair treatment and poor working conditions at the company. They appealed to him to help address their challenges and advocate for their rights as workers.

Addressing the workers, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, expressed his sympathy and commitment to the workers’ cause. He promised to engage with the company management and relevant stakeholders to address their concerns and work towards finding a resolution.
He appealed to the aggrieved workers to exercise restraint because he believed that after engaging with their management, the outcome would be positive.
