The 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League is underway following the Preliminary and Second Preliminary Round draw held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. A record 62 clubs will compete this season, highlighting the tournament’s growing appeal.
Top-ranked teams like Egypt’s Al Ahly, South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, and defending champions Pyramids FC have byes into the Second Preliminary Round. Pyramids FC will face Rwanda’s APR.
Key early matchups include US Monastirienne vs. East End Lions, with a potential clash against JS Kabylie or Bibiani Gold Stars. Other notable ties involve MC Alger, RS Berkane, ASEC Mimosas, and Espérance de Tunis entering in later stages.
Preliminary Round matches will take place between 19–28 September, followed by the Second Preliminary Round from 17–26 October. The Group Stage starts on 21 November 2025, with knockouts from 13 March 2026. Clubs eliminated in the first two rounds will receive $100,000 in logistical support from CAF.
