CHRISTIAN COUNCIL OF GHANA: I AM FOCUSED ON ECONOMIC REBOUND IN MY FINAL YEAR – PRESIDENT ASSURES CLERGY

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reiterated his optimism that the local economy will make a buoyant recovery in the short to medium term as his administration remains focused on easing the current economic pressures on citizens.
The president said he is encouraged by the positive economic indications
of the local economy, with improvement in inflation figures among others, and was hopeful to reduce inflation to about 15% next year.
The president made these remarks when a delegation of the Christian Council of Ghana paid a courtesy call on him at his Jubilee House office in Accra.
The occasion was to introduce the chairperson of the Christian Council, Rt. Rev. Dr. Hilliard Dela Dogbe, to him.
President Akufo-Addo congratulated the Chairman of the Christian Council on his new appointment and expressed his and the nation’s pride at his elevation.

The president appealed to the creme of the nation’s clergy to keep politicians in their prayers to continue to do their best and sacrifice for the nation, as not all politicians are thieves.

President Akufo-Addo said as his term draws to an end next year, he was desirous of leaving the economy on a high and was encouraged by the latest economic indicators, including inflation.
He was hopeful that inflation would progressively improve in the next year and hoped to reduce it to about 15% and reduce the stress on Ghanaian citizens.
