Cole Palmer has been named the Premier League Player of the Month after scoring seven goals in four top-flight matches for the Blues in April.
The 22-year-old claimed the prize following a month in which he produced two ruthless goalscoring performances at Stamford Bridge and claimed an assist away at Sheffield United.
Palmer netted a remarkable hat-trick – including an equaliser and a winner in second-half stoppage time – in our dramatic 4-3 win over Manchester United and then teed up Noni Madueke’s strike away at Sheffield United.
What followed when Everton visited Stamford Bridge was the England international’s most dominant display in Blue.
Palmer struck a perfect hat-trick inside 29 minutes, the earliest the feat has been achieved in the Premier League, and then added his fourth from the penalty spot in the second period.
That ensured Palmer became only the fourth Chelsea player to score on four occasions in a Premier League fixture, following in the footsteps of Gianluca Vialli, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Frank Lampard.
Palmer topped the voting in a competitive Player of the Month shortlist, which also included Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, Arsenal’s Kai Havertz, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Man City centre-back Josko Gvardiol.
