CPP Calls Napo For A Debate On Nkrumah And Nana Addo Comparison

The Convention People’s Party has called on the vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh for a debate on the comparison he made regarding the achievements of President Nkrumah and Nana Addo during his unveiling in Kumasi Ashanti Regional capital.

Speaking to the media at the Ghana International Press Centre, Director of Communication of the Convention People’s Party, Sylvester Sarpong-Soprano has given a two-week ultimatum to Dr. Opoku Prempeh to avail himself at the British Council for the debate.

According to him, the attainment of Ghana’s independence which was orchestrated by President Nkrumah and the CPP is unmatched and cannot be compared.

He alluded that the former energy minister should compare the current energy crisis to President Nkrumah’s drive to provide a large and stable, cheap energy in Ghana.

The Communication Director opined that Dr. Nkrumah embarked on an unprecedented industrialization drive that helped transform the structure of Ghana’s economy.
