The District Chief Executive, Ellembelle in the Western Region, Mr Kwesi Bonzoh has commended President Akufo Addo for the swift response to the fight against coronavirus pandemic in the country.

According to him the President was proactive in mitigation the spread of coronavirus pandemic by closing the boarder to stop expatriate and nationals in importing the virus into the country.

He said since the outbreak his district has also done a lot to ensure people adhere to the precautionary measure prescribed by WHO.

The Chief Executive Officer said enforcing the precautionary measure was a little difficult in the beginning but since the region recorded it’s first case people begun to adhere to the precautionary measure.

He said the assembly has distributed over 500 Veronica bucket and sanitary items to various public places within his area to curb the spread of the disease.
