Democracy Day: Eze Igbo Ghana congratulates President Tinubu

As Nigerians celebrate June 12 democracy Day, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana,  Global Peace Ambassador, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr.Chukwudi Ihenetu, has congratulated  President  Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor of Imo State, His Excellency  Hope Uzodimma.

In a statement signed from his revered Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace in Ghana. the Umuduruoha Amigbo Nwagele Imo state-born Royal Father rejoices with Nigerians for their steadfastness and resolution to guard democracy despite the harsh economic hardship.

The Royal father also seized the opportunity to announce the 2024 annual Igbo Day/ New  Yam Festival in Ghana.

Known for its colourful  grandiose cultural display,  this year’s festival  has the theme: ‘Sustain the culture and tradition  of Ndigbo  in the Diaspora’

“Since its inception,  the UNESCo approved festival attracts people of all cultural backgrounds from the  African continent, the Carribean, and the United States of America. this year’s event also promises to be as interesting as ever.

Igbo New Yam festival is not only celebrated among Ndigbo. The cultural fiesta is witnessed by most African ambassadors,  Queen and Kings.

“So what we are celebrating is African culture in the Diaspora. Last year, about 15 thousand people from all parts of the world were in attendance. This year, we are expecting over 20 thousand people.

“I thus invite everyone to be part of the wonderful occasion, ” HRM Ihenetu said.
