The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia joined Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams and other men of God at the inauguration of an ultra-modern Auditorium for The Maker’s House Chapel International in Accra, on Sunday.
The vice president has stated that Ghana is very blessed to have a harmonious existence between people of different faiths. He said we should, therefore, focus on our similarities rather than our differences. Christians and Muslims all believe in the same God (the God of Abraham, Moses, David etc.); believe that Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary; believe that Jesus performed miracles such as raising the dead, giving sight to the blind, curing lepers etc. ; believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth before the end of the world to defeat the Antichrist and save the world.
In the spirit of national peace and cohesion, the Vice President urged persons of all religious persuasions to continue to live in harmony and contribute their quota to Ghana’s development.
He commended Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye , General Overseer of The Maker’s House Chapel International, for his exemplary leadership over the years, which has culminated in the construction of this magnificent edifice.
