Dr. . BAWUMIA WRAPS UP CONSTITUENCY-FOCUSED TOUR OF THE ASHANTI REGION

The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says his administration will introduce solar farms across the country when elected into office, which will cut power costs by almost 50 percent.
At a mini rally at Juaso in the Asante Akim South Constituency, Dr. Bawumia warned against returning to the dark days of dumsor, poor economic growth, and mismanagement, urging them to choose Upgrade, Innovative Ideas, and Bold Solutions for Jobs.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his Possibility team made a stop at Juaso in the Asante Akim South Constituency in the Ashanti Region as he wrapped up his nationwide constituency-focused campaign for the upcoming December elections.
Dr. Bawumia first had a stakeholder engagement at Juaso, the municipal capital, to share thoughts with the constituency leaders.
Dr. Bawumia told the gathering about how he wants to utilise solar energy to reduce the country’s electricity cost.
He promised to train 5,000 youth in digital skills to enable them to participate in the fourth industrial revolution.

The NPP flagbearer repeated the promise later at a rally to address the teeming youth on his bold solutions for Ghana.

The parliamentary candidate for the Asante Akim South Constituency, Mr. Kwaku Asante Boateng, said the NPP was responsible for all the major developments in the constituency and appealed to the constituents to vote massively to retain the NPP in 2024.

Sekyere Afram Plains was the next constituency call for Dr. Bawumia and his team.
Here the NPP flag bearer pledged to tackle the country’s housing deficit with the introduction of the district housing policy. While engaging stakeholders at Drobonso, the NPP flagbearer promised to construct housing units in every district, stressing that this initiative will also help address unemployment across the nation.

The next stop for Dr. Bawumia and his team was Kumawu, where the Paramount Chief of Kumawu, Barima Sarpong Tweneboa Kodua, lauded the NPP, President Akufo-Addo, and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their significant contributions to education and development in the region, particularly through the Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative.
The chief praised the NPP for not only advancing education but also improving infrastructure and creating jobs through various projects.
He cited the construction of a 120-bed hospital, a National Service Scheme project in Sekyere Afram Plains, and the establishment of an ultra-modern district assembly complex as examples of how the NPP’s policies are benefiting the local community.

Dr. Bawumia, for his part, said the Agenda 111 hospitals being constructed all over the country will also serve to promote medical tourism in the country, stressing that the facilities will have the potential of attracting clients from all over the world.
He also revealed that the nursing training college requested by the community has been approved by the cabinet, and in his administration the facility will be built.
He also pledged to upgrade Kumawu to a municipality to reflect its status.

Dr. Bawumia then proceeded to the Effiduase Asokore constituency, where he and the NPP member of parliament for the area, Dr. Afriyie Ayew, engaged traditional leaders, Christian clergy, Muslim clerics, and opinion leaders to unfold the party’s bold solutions for the country.
