The vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has indicated that indeed the Akufo Addo led administration is not the promise and fail government as the promise they made to the people of Teshie and Nungua over the Accra-Tema beach road construction has been fulfilled.
Speaking at the sod cutting ceremony for the commencement of the Accra-Tema beach road construction at Nungua barrier today, the vice president revealed that completion of the road will ease pressure on motorists.
He continued that the year of roads is on course as every part of the country is experiencing road construction.
He said no government has been able to construct over 5 interchanges in its first term but this govt has done it which is unprecedented.
He mentioned the Tema motorway runabout interchange, the Pokuase interchange, Obetsebi Lamptey interchange, the Tamale interchange etc as some of the interchanges this govt has done within its first term.
The $100million project is being funded by the GoG, and the China Development Bank and its expected to be completed in 24 months.
On his part the minister for Roads and highways, Hon Kwasi Amoako Atta indicated that arrangements has been made for the contractors to employ local qualified artisans within the Krowor Constituency to creat jobs ,and that compensations will be paid to all affected property owners .
