Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential candidate has urged the chiefs and people of Akwatia in the Eastern Region to vote massively for the Dr. Bawumia to roll out his ‘Bold Solutions for Ghana’ and the NPP to reclaim the parliamentary seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NPP running mate for the 2024 presidential elections gave this clarion call during a mini rally at Akyem Wenchi in Akwatia.
The rally saw traditional leaders, clerics and the clergy, driver and trader unions, stakeholders and opinion leaders in the Akwatia constituency in attendance.
Supporters of the NPP welcomed the running mate and his entourage including NPP National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, the Eastern Regional chairman of the NPP, Jeff Konadu, the Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP in Akwatia, Eric Kumi and former MP for the area, Ama Sey, regional and constituency executives of the NPP, with aplomb as they sang and cheered them on to their seats.
Defying the heavy downpour after his arrival, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh charged the constituents especially NPP members and well-wishers to stand united and determined to reclaim the seat from the NDC.
He appealed to party supporters that divisions within the party must not jeopardize Dr. Bawumia’s innovative solutions for Ghana’s future.
He urged the people and the stakeholders to rally solidly behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the NPP PC Ernest Kumi, and intensify the campaign for them in market squares, offices, and every corner of human settlement in the area.
Napo said the NPP will continue to communicate its stellar achievements in government and vision for the future, with the belief that the Ghanaian people will entrust the NPP with their mandate in December.
In a related development, the Assin Central MP, Hon Ken Ohene Agyapong has urged the chiefs and people of Ayensuano in the Eastern region to vote massively for the NPP in the 2024 elections as the NDC has disappointed the constituents and have nothing to show for their tenure.
The Assin Central legislator compared the record of the NPP and the NDC to the electorate in Ayensuano and appealed to them not to repeat the same mistake.
Hon. Ken Agyapong made this appeal in his address to constituents at a mini rally in the constituency on Monday, when the campaign train of NPP running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh set its stall as part of its campaign activities.
Meanwhile, the wife of the NPP flagbearer has also called on the electorate at Ejura Sekyeredumase in the Ashanti Region to choose the Bold Solutions for Ghana, being sold by Dr. Bawumia and ignore the empty promises and falsehoods of the NDC.
Speaking at a mini rally at Ejura, the second lady bemoaned the lack of alternative policies by the NDC and urged the constituents to give the NPP the nod and vote massively to change the fortunes of the community.
