The parliamentary candidate for Akuapem South Constituency, Mr. Eric Yeboah Apeadu, has reaffirmed Dr. Bawumia’s commitment with the transformative agenda for Akuapem South Constituency by turning the area into a commercial hub.
Mr. Yeboah Apeadu unveiled his plans focusing on skills development, digital skills, agriculture, tourism, sports development, entrepreneurship, and construction as he seeks to create 3,500 jobs in the next four years.
This vision, he said, aligns with Dr. Bawumia’s overall goal of empowering entrepreneurs and artisans as well as fostering an inclusive and transformative environment at the constituency
Eric Yeboah Apeadu made these statements during his engagement with the communities in Aburi, Ahwerase, Ketasi, Kukunuru, Adabrobe, Brekusu, Djankama, Cormert, Parikro, Kwajo krom Ensakyi, and Tabankro, among other communities, dubbed “community connect” (CC), to share his vision as well as that of Dr. Bawumia for the development of the area.
Addressing the community members at Aburi, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Akuapem South, Eric Yeboah Apeadu, said his job creation agenda is aimed at transforming the lives of young people and in the constituency.
He said the initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to address unemployment, with a nationwide target of 2.6 million jobs, comprising 1.4 million in the private sector and 1.2 million in the public sector.
Mr. Yeboah Apeadu plans to build on the existing achievements of the NPP government, which has already created over 2.3 million jobs nationwide and 2,300 jobs in Akuapem South.
According to him, he has already demonstrated his commitment to job creation by presenting over 100 items to seamstresses, carpenters, masons, and cosmetologists, among others. He added that good policies and programs from the NPP government will earn the party over 70% of the December 7, 2024 general elections.
Eric Yeboah Apeadu reiterated his commitment to transforming Aburi Botanical Gardens into a tourist hub as an opportunity for employment and economic growth.
Eric Apeadu Yeboah’s indicated that the initiative can bring significant benefits to the community, aligning with Ghana’s tourism and economic development.
He established that Ghana’s rich cultural and natural heritage can be showcased to international visitors, whereas improvements in road infrastructure and social amenities will benefit local communities.
Eric Yeboah Apeadu added that, to boost tourism in the Akuapem South Constituency area, plans are far advanced to establish paragliding and develop waterfall attractions in the Aburi Amanfu community.
