The Electoral Commission (EC) says it has revised the ballot statistics for some 20 polling stations, it submitted to the political parties and the printing firms for the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
According to the Commission, that followed the implementation of the decisions of the District Registration Review Officers (DRROS) and the High Courts, as well as the revisions made after the Re-Exhibition of the Provisional Voters Register.
A statement to this effect was signed and issued by Mr. Samuel Tettey, a Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations at the EC, on Monday.
It said “The polling stations for which printing of additional ballot booklets is required sum up to twenty (20), and attached the schedule of the affected polling stations for the information of the general public.
Mr. Samuel Tettey said the revised ballot statistics, including the affected polling stations had been given to the political parties, independent presidential candidates and the printing firms.
The statement disclosed that the Temp Booth Bekyedergangn polling station in the Nandom Constituency in the Upper West Region recorded the largest adjustment, with a new voter count of 404, up from the previous 296, and a revised provision of 310 ballots—marking an increase of 94 ballots.
The smallest adjustment, a change of 1, according to the EC statement occurred at three polling stations: the D/C JSS Aboifie in the Amenfi West Constituency, and Methodist Primary School, Taha, and Dar-El Uluum Islamic Primary School, both in the Tamale North Constituency.
