First Lady, H.E Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo Inaugurated A New CHPS Compound For The Residents Of Gbolo Kofi

The First Lady of Ghana, Her Excellency Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, inaugurated a new Community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound for the residents of Gbolo Kofi in the Akuapem North Constituency on Friday, November 22, 2024. This new facility, aimed at providing accessible and quality healthcare to the local population, is expected to serve over 30,000 residents in the area. The initiative was supported by the Infanta Malaria Prevention Foundation (IMPF), with the goal of enhancing healthcare services at the grassroots level.

The inauguration of the new Community-based Health Planning Services (CHPS) compound in Gbolo Kofi brought together a diverse group of attendees, including traditional rulers, health officials from the region, development partners, and Mr. Sammy Awuku, the NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Akuapem North Constituency. This gathering highlighted the community’s collective support for the initiative, which is aimed at improving healthcare access and services for the residents of the area.

Nene Teye Gboloo III, the Odikro of Gbolo Kofi, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the First Lady and the IMPF for the facility, recognizing its positive impact on the community’s well-being.

Mr. Sammy Awuku, the NPP’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Akuapem North Constituency, also spoke at the event. He pledged to continue supporting the community, promising to enhance local infrastructure, including the installation of street lighting, should he be elected to office.

In addition, as part of her visit, the First Lady made a generous cash donation of 30,000 cedis to the Adooso Market women. She encouraged the women to support Dr. Bawumia and Sammy Awuku in the upcoming elections, to help continue the development initiatives started by President Akufo-Addo’s administration.
