Former President John Agyekum Kuffour Advocates For Ghana Made Rice

The Former President of Ghana John Agyekum Kuffour has thrown his weight and support for Ghanaian rice farmers to never give up on rice cultivation since it’s the best for the country. He said Ghana rice cannot be compared to none other because of the high quality of nutrients.

The Former President John Agyekum Kuffour was addressing the leaders of Ghana rice millers inter professional body in his residence in Accra.

The Former President also called for the public private partnership for competitive and inclusive rice value chain Development such as the Planting for food and jobs.

The President of Ghana Rice Inter Professional Body Nana Adjei Ayeh II, also expressed gratitude to the former president for leading the production of made in Ghana rice.

The Ghana Rice Inter-professional Body (GRIB) has begun a decentralization process to help create a more robust rice value chain in the country.

With support from the John Agyekum Kufuor Foundation (JAKF), GRIB has elected district and regional executives across the country. The executives comprise various members of the rice value chain including farmers, millers, marketers/aggregators, input dealers, service providers, among others.
