Four Foreign Envoys Present Credentials To President Akufo-Addo

Four (4) Foreign envoys on Wednesday presented their letters of credence to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House in Accra.

The four who are to assume office and begin their duty tour of Ghana included the
Angolan ambassador, Mr. Joao Baptista Dominos Quiosa, Mr. Tamas Endre Feher from the Republic of Hungary, the Norwegian ambassador Madam Ingrid Mollestad and  Irchad Razaaly representing the European Union in Ghana.

All the ambassadors expressed their heartfelt congratulations to President Akufo-Addo on winning the 2020 elections and promised to deepen their respective relations with Ghana in the coming years.

The EU ambassador to Ghana Irchard Razaaly for his part said the EU shared its values with Ghana and congratulated Ghana for securing a seat at the United Nations Security Council.

He also acknowledged the president’s efforts at regional stability and security especially concerning recent happenings in Guinea and Mali as well as promoting maritime security.

He highlighted the EU’s contribution to Ghana on the covid19 vaccination drive and expressed his support to Ghana’s ambition to produce vaccines locally.

President Akufo-Addo in his response to the EU ambassador acknowledged the support of the EU in so many areas of Ghana’s national life which have been beneficial to the nation.

He particular urged the EU ambassador to assist Ghana to be delisted from the blacklisted countries after meeting the requirements even though the EU has formally accepted Ghana’s reforms since June.
