Ghana Beyond Aid is self reliance – Bono Regional Minister Ama Kumi

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Evelyn Ama Kumi Richardson has revealed that Ghana beyond aid is supposed to be self reliance with focus and management of it’s own resources to another level.

Speaking at the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) 20th Biennial Conference in Sunyani, on the theme; Beyond Aid, a paradigm shift for sustainable development, the role of local authorities, the Minister explained that local government structure is the only vehicle to deliver a Ghana Beyond Aid.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary for National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), Mr. Kokro Amankwah indicated that to achieve Ghana Beyond Aid, local authorities (MMDA’s) should be financially responsible in the collection of enough revenue in terms of property rates and other avenues to move the country forward.

He charged assemblies to properly deal with local economic development, climate and sustainable development goals and bring relieve to Ghanaians.
