The Ghana Evangelical Society (GES) on Sunday, 12th November 2023, climaxed its Golden Jubilee Anniversary celebration with a mammoth thanksgiving service held at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra.
The thanksgiving service was attended by thousands of Pentecostals, Charismatics and Evangelicals from all over Ghana.
The Thanksgiving Service was under the theme” Thou art worthy oh Lord, to receive Glory, Honor, Power and Blessings” Rev.4:11.
The patrons celebrated the goodness and the faithfulness of God towards the GES, which has become one of the most influential global bodies in the country.
Her ladyship Mrs. Georgina Theodora Wood former Chief Justice of Ghana who was the guest speaker for the occasion, commended the society and it’s founder Rev. Prof. Enock Immanuel Agbozo for such vision and accomplishments for God purposes.
“The society has played a pioneering role in popularizing pentecostalism and charismatism and has been instrumental in raising men and women of God, She also asserted that the Evangelical Society has also been a valuable resource to the nation, teaching the people of Ghana about the holy spirit, promoting righteousness and holiness, peace and contributing to the flourishing of Democracy in Ghana”.
The Assistant leader for the Society, Rev. Frederick Barnacle Dadson delivering a sermon at the function said, it is time Ghanaians returned to God so that they can enjoy his full blessings.
According to him, Ghana is a blessed nation but because of deceit, lies, fornication, adultery and dishonesty of some politicians, the country’s blessing has been blocked from God.
Gracing the occasion were Rev. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian international evangelist who doubles as the President and Founder of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Dr. Affail Monney, former President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Chiefs, MMDCEs and a host of others.
