Government dedicated to making Ghana Premier League more attractive and competitive – Kofi Adams

At the official unveiling of a new partnership between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Adesa Production Limited (APL), the Minister stressed that revitalizing the local football league is just as important as Ghana’s quest to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“Our focus isn’t solely on World Cup qualification; we’re equally dedicated to enhancing the appeal and competitiveness of our domestic league,” Adams said.

The partnership agreement, unveiled ahead of the 2025/26 football season, guarantees financial support of GH₵1 million to each Ghana Premier League club before the start of the campaign.

Under the terms of the deal, a minimum of three matches will be broadcast live each week, complemented by highlight programs designed to increase visibility and drive greater fan engagement nationwide.
