The Chief Executive Officer of COTVET, Dr. Fred Asamoah has disclosed that government has pumped in an amount of thirty six million Ghana cedis into Technical and Vocational and Training and has trained over ten thousand youth in various areas including, Hairdresser, Carpenters, Hospitality sector among others.
Dr Asamoah said government is working hard to provide all the necessary framework to address any challenges confronting TVET education in the country.
Speaking at the Development of Skills for Industry Project Validation Workshop in Accra, he said government is putting in more resources into TVET to help achieve Ghana beyond aid agenda and to also create more employable skills and employment in the country.
Furthermore, Dr Amoah revealed that government is also solving the infrastructure deficit and upgrading all the Technical schools across the country to ensure effectiveness of vocational training.
He ended by saying government has earmarked five million Ghana cedis towards my TVET campaign project.
