The government has presented 25 vehicles and 24 motorbikes to four public institutions to facilitates their work and as well assist them improve their performance. The vehicles and motorbike were procured with funds from world bank for the public sector reform for results project. The public sector reform for results project is a government initiative to support ministries, departments and agencies to improve on the efficiency and accountability in the delivering of key public services to the citizenry.
Beneficiaries are Birth and death registry with 10 pickups and 10 motorbikes, Vehicle and liencicing authority with 6 minibuses, Birth and death registry 10 pick ups and 23 motorbikes, Monitoring and Evaluation two 4*4, Office of the senior minister with fore vehicle’s and ministry of local and rural development.
Hon. O. B Amoah who is the deputy minister of local government in receiving the vehicles on behalf of the ministry has this to say.
Dr Anthony Akoto Osei who also receive the vehicles in the name of Monitoring and Evaluation said this will aid his sector to monitor and strategize institutional capacity and promote results base stakeholders engagement.
The senior minister Hon Yaw Osafo Mafo whose office is the brain behind this vision in his key note address said government will continue to support and make the public sector responsive, efficient and effective in its service delivery programs both public and private sector.
