Govt Keen On Evacuating Nationals From Wuhan – Kojo Oppong Nkrumah

The Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has announced that the much anticipated town hall meeting and results fair will be held in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital on the 11th and 12 of February 2020.

The town hall meeting would be spearheaded and chaired by the Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamoud Bawumia and in attendance will be some members of the Economic management team.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who made these disclosures when he addressed the media in Accra on Sunday at the weekly meet the press series, said the purpose of the Town hall meetings and results fairs, is to update Ghanaians on progress made in fulfilling the party’s campaign promises and outline what has been achieved in the last 3 years and 2 months of the Nana Led administration.

The Information Minister also took time to state government’s position of the alleged circulated tape on social media on the war on galamsey and the missing excavators.

The Minister also revealed that government is making strenuous efforts and arrangement to airlift Ghanaians including students in China back home due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah also took time to answer some questions, especially on the reemergence of galamsey and the pollution of the country’s water bodies.
