Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has voiced strong dissatisfaction with the performance of some Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the region, criticizing them for their lack of effectiveness and growing complacency.
Speaking during a meeting with MMDCEs and the media in Accra on Thursday, August 28, 2025, Madam Ocloo stated that the failure of some chief executives to carry out their duties was hampering the government’s efforts to tackle pressing issues in the region.
“I want to be direct—I’m disheartened by the inefficiency and complacency shown by certain chief executives. At this point, excuses only serve to disgrace the very people we’re supposed to be working for,” she remarked.
She went on to emphasize that leadership should be measured by tangible outcomes, not status or privileges.
“Being a leader isn’t about sitting comfortably in an office and enjoying the benefits that come with the role. It’s about achieving results—and frankly, too many of you are not living up to that standard,” she asserted.
