HON KEN IN UPPER EAST REGION: I’LL TRANSFORM NORTHERN ZONE INTO AFRICA’S BREAD BASKET – HON KEN ASSURES

Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, a presidential contender for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reiterated his vision to transform the northern sector of Ghana, including the Afram Plains, into a bread basket of Africa when given the nod as the president of Ghana on January 7, 2025.
The Assin Central MP gave this emphasis on Monday, October 16, 2023, as he continued his ‘KenIsListening’ tour in the Upper East Region.
Hon. Ken Agyapong paid homage to delegates at Garu, Tempane, Binduri, and Zebilla, laying out his vision for his presidential quest and his plans for value addition and industrialization in the area, and appealing to them to vote for him in the upcoming primaries of the NPP.
With the NPP heading to a delegates conference on November 4 this year, the six-term legislator pointed out the vast potential of natural and human resources available in the northern sector and pledged to sow the seeds of industrialization through agro-processing, agricultural mechanization, information technology and tourism.
At Zebilla, Hon. Ken Agyapong said he stood tall among his political contemporaries who sought power and noted that he has a track record of providing jobs, creating employment and venturing into value-added-based industrialization.

At Binduri, the industrialist said he was optimistic about transforming the northern zone of the country, which includes the Afram Plains, into a bread basket for the continent of Africa and beseeched the delegates to give him the nod in the primaries.
