Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for the Assin Central constituency, has reiterated his unflinching commitment to the New Patriotic Party and appealed to his supporters and well-wishers not to be disheartened but rather to be emboldened to continue the fight to promote a selfless and flourishing nation that provides jobs and creates wealth for the Ghanaian youth.
The six-term legislator reechoed his loyalty to the NPP when he addressed a Thanksgiving event in Minnesota, in the United States, over the weekend.
Hon. Ken Agyapong, who placed second in the NPP presidential primaries held last month, was full of gratitude to his supporters and his team for putting up a remarkable contest in his bid to win the presidential candidacy of the NPP.
He noted that he stood by his vision of creating job opportunities and wealth for youth, bemoaned the lack of patriotism of some Ghanaian officials who lacked foresight and exposure, and pledged to continue his efforts to reform the governance style of public officials.
He said the nation needs a man of conviction to put things right and tell it as it is to public officials.
He urged Ghanaians not to be timid and play second fiddle to any category of person, stressing that citizens must believe in their capabilities and strive for excellence.
Nana Benewaa Oppong Tia, the Queen Mother of Assinman in Minnesota, used the occasion to present a citation to Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong for his contribution to the development of Ghana.
