I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF TAKING OVER POMADZE LANDS – AFENYO MARKIN

The Hon Member of Parliament for Efutu who doubles as Deputy majority leader, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo Markin has said, he has not taken or has intentions of nursing Gomoa Pomadze lands.

Mr. Afenyo Markin’s said this in reaction to a claim made by the Omanhe of Gomoa Ajumako traditional area, Nana Nyarfo Krampah in a press conference held yesterday.

Mr Afenyo Markin in press conference today, stated that, the Chief of Gomoa Ajumako traditional area, got it all wrong because he (the Efutu MP) has not claimed or intend to claim any land.

He explained that the edifice or statue at the Winneba junction roundabout is not himself as Afenyo Markin but it is a statue of Ghana’s first President, the late Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah shaking hands with the late J.B Dankwa.

The Chief of POMADZE who is the real custodian of the land in question, Nana Kofi Apata -V who was at the press conference today with Mr. Afenyo Markin denied any knowledge of the press conference held in his name yesterday by the Gomoa Pomadze Chief yesterday and that, whatever development happening at Winneba junction roundabout and Pomadze has a collective decision by the Chiefs, MP, police Commander and the elders of the traditional area
