The first anniversary of the passing of the late Martin Kwabena Kwakye, former Director of Radio at Kencity Media Ltd, was marked today, Friday, February 14, 2025, at his residence at Adenta.
The occasion which was attended by a motley number of guests saw in attendance family members, management and staff of Kencity Media Ltd, members and former members of parliament, some supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), well-wishers and sympathisers, marked the event with songs, worship and prayers to seek God’s eternal protection of his soul.
It may be recalled that on Wednesday 14 February 2024, the late Martin Kwabena Kwakye fell ill while on duty at Oman FM, and sadly passed on at the University of Ghana Medical Centre after efforts by doctors to save his life.
He was given a befitting funeral by the family and Kencity Media Ltd at the forecourt of Parliament House and subsequently laid to rest at his hometown, Kwamang in the Ashanti Region.
