Lets’s Not Abandon The Business Of Parliament Just Because You Lost The Primaries – Speaker

The Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye has advised all members of Parliament who lost in the just ended NPP Parliamentary primaries election last Saturday 20 June, 2020 not abandon their required duties at Parliament.

He advised that, members of Parliament must act as Statemen in their duties and what they say since its all good for the House.

He went to encourage those who lost in the primaries that, in politics that is how it goes, it is not all win-win situation, and once you win today, be prepared to encounter lost as well some day to come, therefore all must come together in carrying the duties of the House for the rest remaining period till elections are held in December, 2020 whilst wishing those who won well and consul the those who lost better luck next time.

Prof. Mike Oquaye added that, members of Parliament who lost in the primaries should rather cool their supporters down to demonstrate to them that, the game politics is well understood by themselves and lose or win are all part it and therefore accept the outcome of the results for peace and posterity.

He concluded by saying, be out of Parliament does not mean that is the end of serving the country, because, they can be out of Parliament and still serve in government and some even does is better and strongly outside Parliament than been inside Parliament.
